So tonight was the third week I have taken Judge and Cindy-Lou to our foster dog/volunteer training night. This is hosted by Charles at his facility, K9 Training Solutions. Charles is also a volunteer with GCGSR.
Cindy-Lou is socializing great. She had a little issue with another dog the on the first night but has since learned how to play properly. Now she loves going to the foster nights running and playing with the other dogs. Cindy-Lou would do really well in a home with an active lifestyle and she would make a great running or jogging partner. She would also do well in a home that has a larger confident dog that will keep her in check. Judge is still working on breaking his habit of going on the offensive to meeting strange dogs. He is doing better, allowing dogs to pass within a few feet of him without reacting unless they get in his personal space. He even allowed a couple of dogs to sniff him without reacting tonight. He can live with another dog once properly introduced, I know this as I have fostered Jewel and Cindy-Lou with him and they both got along great with him. Judge would do well as a only dog or with a more submissive female dog once properly introduced. He is definitely a level 3 dog who needs and experienced owner that can handle a 120 pound confident dog. |
